Newsletter 16th October 2008

Hello, everybody !!!

Things are beginning to take shape at the Hospice with the footings in and the internal walls beginning to appear. The builders are a cheerful lot, work hard, and are doing a wonderful job by causing little or no disturbance to the patients, their visitors or relatives.

The last year has simply flown by and LOROS are once again starting its plans for Christmas events and services to raise funds to help the relatives and friends of those patients who are no longer with us and for the patients who will be at the Hospice during the Christmas Period.

Our own Stamp Fair, one held by the Hinckley & District Philatelic Society, and other stamp sales have yielded a total of about £700………………..many thanks to all who attended, as without you we could do nothing !!!!

Our next fair is on November 23rd at Newbold Primary School on Dragon Lane, Newbold, and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there.

We would also like to thank all those Businesses (and private individuals ) who save used stamps and donate them to us. . . . .please continue to do so as this, too, is a great help.
