The Chairman thanked Ms Barlow for attending the meeting.

A new surface is to be ordered for the Hard Surface Play Area part of this cost will be covered by a grant from the Borough Council.  This is to be marked out for 5 a side Football and Tennis.

The playing field has now been mole drained and it is hoped it will be in good condition prior to the start of the football season.

David Reid reported The Old School Hall have obtained grants from the borough and outside bodies to cover repair work needed. Bookings have increased and at least 8 groups were using the building.

Concern was raised with regard to the fact that the flower boxes were being ruined by plants being taken away – new ones have been obtained and planted.  These acts of vandalism cost the village money and of course time.

New dog bins have been fitted around the village and already to date one has been vandalised.  There was concern re problem dogs, numerous complaints had been received regarding dogs wandering the village without their owners, and these have been passed to the dog warden.

D.Reid wished to compliment the Licensee of the Three Tuns & Red Lion on the work on the car parks

And general tidying of the properties.  It has given a lift to the centre of the village.
