The cost of vandalism in the village continues, this month
there has been damage to the notice board which required new legs, two windows
in the pavilion have been smashed due to footballs being kicked against the
shutters and the main shutter on the large doors overlooking the football pitch
have been damaged. The cost this month
equates to around £600. This is has to
be paid for from the budget the Parish Council receives from the borough so in
effect, from your council tax.
Remembrance Day feedback
A positive feedback had been
received especially for the trumpet player, and a letter of thanks has gone to
everyone who took part. Mrs. Richardson
reported that £643 had been raised., this will go to the Poppy Appeal. It was
suggested that a Master of Ceremonies could be nominated in future years to
ensure the smooth running of the ceremony at the cenotaph.
Christmas
P.Enston reported that Steve
Grady from Cadeby Tree Trust has agreed to donate the Christmas Tree this year
to the village and the Parish Council are very grateful.
The lighting of the Christmas
Tree will take place at
5 pm
on Sunday 9th December, all are welcome to come along and enjoy
mince pies and carols.
Cemetery
The gates have now been newly painted
and our thanks to Mr. Weston for a job well done.
Wheel
Gillivers have taken over the
responsibility of painting the wheel and again the Parish Council are very
grateful to them.
