Can anyone tell me, please, how First Steps and the Elohim got on last night, regarding the allocation of funds at the Forum meeting in Bosworth??

A  Reminder, too, that this Sunday is Remembrance Sunday and the Guides will meet up at 9.45am in St Giles Close and "process" to the Church for the Service at 10.00am. . . . after that, the Congregation are invited to join the Guides and walk to the Cemetery for the "Laying of the Wreaths".

This will be followed by refreshments at the Village Hall.

Monday is going to be a busy day. . . .or rather a busy evening !!!! The re-scheduled BOCA Firework Display will be held . . . .same time, same place as before,  and there is also a Tai Chi Course from 7pm to 9pm in the Old School Hall, for anyone interested. The first "session" is free and then it will cost £7 per evening. It will run for 4 weeks just to see what "take-up" there is. . . .with a view to (possibly) continuing for a longer period in the New Year. You do not need to book. . . . . . just turn up. . . . . .everyone is welcome, regardless of age or flexibility !!!!

                                              ____________________________________________________

On Tuesday and Wednesday are the  Meetings in Battram and Nailstone to discuss the amended Planning Application for the old Nailstone Colliery. If you live in that area, then please go along, and put your point of view. . . . . .at the very least you will KNOW what is being planned, and will not need to rely on

the Good Old Rumour Factory !!!!

                                             _____________________________________________________

As I said in a previous Newsletter, there was a Beat Surgery last Tuesday evening before the Parish Council meeting. . . . .but I wonder how many people actually went to it and told Sean about the problems in Westfields and Little Mill Close?????

                                             ____________________________________________________

Bill Crooks is doing what he can about the Curtis Way road sign, and the "missing" Chapel Street one. . . .and has been asked to "look into" the rumour that the Borough are intending to remove the Recycling Bins at the Football Club. . . .bearing in mind that the vandalised ones on the Doctor's Surgery Car Park have never been replaced. . . . and I will let you know when I hear anything

Just one other thing, at the moment......................................

It is now getting to the time of year when some of you lucky people will be getting ready to go away to a Sunnier (and warmer!!!) Land. IF you can do this before the next World Financial Crisis, then please do NOT advertise (or let your children advertise) where you are going (and when) on any of the so-called Social Networking Sites. It is a well-known fact that there are devious and crooked people out there who actually "trawl" these sites to find out who is not at home and for how long they are away !! It is, really, an open invitation for anyone to break into your home, so PLEASE don't do it !!!

Regards,

Paul
